The Future was in the Enfield Press newspaper today!

Enfield Press Newspaper 6/9/10

Daron s mouth was wide open when I showed him the newspaper today after work. He was very happy and excited to see himself in the newspaper. It was a great article. I bought 20 copies for my friends, coaches and families. Please let me know if you would like to have one.

Daron Bryden is playing for Manchester Sentinals this season!

Daron Bryden wont be wearing the Ramblers uniform this year after leading his Ramblers team 6-2 record last year as his first year of starting quarterback. Manchester Sentinals, Tri Town Patriots and few other teams in New Haven areas were after Daron hard. We met with all the coaches including Ramblers coaches. At the end, we were very impressed with Manchester President, Dave Mencarini and Daron felt connected with Dave and his new Head Coach, Victor McKenzie right away. Daron decided to play for Sentinals instead of Tri Town Patriots. Daron can not wait to put the Sentinals uniform on and help his Mighty Mites team this season. The age for his Mighty Mites is 7,8, and 9. Dave Mencarini said he is thrilled to have Daron on the team and is a great addition for our league! "For just turning eight, it looks like he is a good four or five years ahead of the curve and he could definitely hold his own wirh 12 or 13 year olds" said Mencarini. Daron s Head Coach McKenzie said that his team would be dangerous with Daron as a Quarterback and looking forward to a big season for the Mighty Mites Sentinals! "Daron is a real hard worker, he strives to be the best... And what I like about him most is that he is a leader, he talks to his teammates and being that young with that attitude, Daron is going to be a great QB (The Future)", said McKenzie. McKenzie s brother, Kory Sheets plays running back for NFL Miami Dolphins.

Daron impressed Steve Clarkson's coaches during QB Dreammaker Tour at NYC!

Coaches loved what he showed them roll out pass!

Daron had a great time showing his quarterback skills to Steve Clarkson s coaches. Daron was one of 4 2nd graders to be invited in the tour in the country. One of Steve Clarkson s coaches named Angelo Gasca told me that Daron s skills were beautiful and impressed that he was only 8 and 2nd grade. Angelo said he was the best 8 year old QBs he saw this year and was very excited for his future. Angelo coached JP Losman of Buffalo Bills and Perry Kelin of Atlanta Falcons. One of other Clarkson s coaches, Tim Kaub was very impressed and said that Daron has all the tools and needs to keep working on it what he has been doing. He loved what Daron showed him. Chris Dubek, Clarkson s Director of Players Personnel said that Daron is the reason why we coach. Dubek said, "Daron is always looking up to you, waiting to get coached by you. He embraces everything and as a young man for his age, he brings to the table a skill set and coachability other athletes at his age level are not supposed to have. That what makes him special!" Clarkson s coaches are looking forward to seeing him again in the Youth National next year. Daron ended up being one of the top quarterbacks at Clarkson s Tour in NYC as a 2nd grader!

"The Future" received a special invitation to participate Steve Clarkson QB Dreammaker Tour in New York on June 5th!

We are all very excited when we received an e mail today from Steve Clarkson and one of his crew that they would love to invite Daron to his QB Dreammaker in New York on June 5th to compete with the 4th Graders Quarterbacks! Youth Quarterbacks are only for 4th graders and up. But Steve Clarkson and his crew were very impressed with this blog, his videos and last year season stats. They wanted to see how Daron do against the 4th graders. Daron is the only 2nd grader to participate in the QB Dreammaker in NY! Steve Clarkson is considered one of the premier quarterback coaches. Clarkson has tutored Ben Roethlisberger, Matt Leinart, J. P. Losman, Gino Torretta, Matt Barkley, and Jimmy Clausen, among others.

Daron is going to make his Five Star Quarterback Coach, Travis PROUD! Daron will be wearing his Five Star T Shirt at his competition! Many big thanks to his Quarterback Coach Travis Meyer for all the hard work he taught Daron so far. He is the big reason why Daron is good! We are very fortunate to have him coaching Daron. Go Daron and Five Star! Show Steve and his crew what you can do as a 8 year old kid! Mom and Dad will be proud of you no matter what. Important you go there and have a GREAT TIME! Good luck Daron!

Daron is still training hard with his new mechanics...

Here is a picture above Daron working on his new throwing mechanic from his QB Coach, Travis at Glastonbury High School... Travis showed Daron how the ball should be thrown by showing him the video of him throwing the ball to his father, Craig... He is doing great with the new mechanics.. His 3 steps drop is improving and Travis was very excited to see how much he has improved after he has not seen him in 3 weeks! Daron has been doing his QB training with his father at Fermi or Enfield HS 3-4 times a week plus seeing his QB coach once a week as long as his AAU basketball games/ or practices are not conflicted with his schedule.

Selected as the Best Quarterback for under 4th Graders at Five Star Camp & Competition!

Travis Meyer s "The Future" students Casey Cochran and Daron Bryden.

Hello friends and families,

Today is a special moment for me and my son. Daron has his AAU basketball game this morning in New Hampshire then we drove all the way down to CCSU to attend his Quarterback Coach, Travis Meyer First Annual Five Star Quarterbacks Camp & Competition ever this afternoon and made it on time! Daron did not want to miss this opportunity to meet the coaches and players especially Casey Cochran one of the best QBs in CT. Daron met Casey for the first time today and Casey was very nice to spend some time and playing catch with him before his competition started. Casey gave Daron his Five Star All Star T Shirt. Casey won the Best QB for his High School group in the morning. Casey already got a quarterback scholarship to play for Boston College. Casey is only 10th grade!!! Amazing QB Casey is!!!

Daron particapted with under 4th graders group during the QB competition. I was so amazed to see that his footwork and throwing mechanics were a lot smoother than the other kids in his groups. Parents were coming up to me asking me if I was the father. Even few parents went up to Daron and asked where he was from. Few asked me to have Daron to play for their town teams! I was overwhelmed because I never experience anything like this especially my son was overwhelmed with the attention he was getting today.. Daron was having a ball and enjoying the competition and meeting new friends as well!

At the end of the Competition, Daron was selected the best under 4th graders quarterback group and he was the youngest quarterback to participate in the competition as a 2nd Grade! He received his yellow Five Star T Shirt! They had Daron competed with older kids during All Star Selection group with 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th graders. He did beautiful and I am so proud of him. Travis his coach was so proud of him and told us that his footwork was better than most of the youth players (4th-8th) At the end of the day, Casey Cochran s Masuk High School Coach, John Murphy told me that he would love to have Daron play for him when he becomes a freshman in HS! What a nice compliment to hear! Even Casey s father Jack Cochran didnt realize that he was ONLY a 2nd grader!

I would like to say many thanks to Daron s coach Travis Meyer for all the hard work so far and am proud to say that Daron will continue to train with him til he graduates from HS because football is his love being a quarterback as he trains almost every day! Thanks again Travis your the best!

Now we are back at the hotel in New Hampshire for Daron s AAU game tomorrow morning at 10 30 am! Enjoy the pictures below that we took today!

"The Future" is already training for this coming season!!!

Daron was very happy to start throwing football with his QB Coach. His QB coach calls Daron "The Future" His arm is getting stronger than last year! Daron learned some new mechanics today that his QB coach told me some of the HS Qbs are having a hard time doing it. Daron is excited to start working on his new mechanics and cant wait for his next lesson asap. Few youth football coaches especially one coach in Pawtucket, RI where my parents in law lives told me and would love to have Daron to play for his pee wee team as QB! We are exploring options whether he plays for D or C for Enfield or other towns.

Daron will be very busy juggling his AAU Spring basketball season which he will be a point guard for 3rd/4th Grade Middlesex Magic team near Boston. He is the only 2nd grader on the team. He will be playing 6 tournaments. Plus also training with his QB coach. Busy boy but he loves every minute of it!
