QBA Off Season Camp at Las Vegas, Nevada

Daron just got back from Las Vegas. He really enjoyed himself learning tips, especially reading defense plays, having courage and being a leadership as a QB. He really had a great time listening to QBA Director Darin Slack during the presentations. He laughed most of the times because he thinks Darin Slack was a funny guy! He made some friends from Las Vegas and Colorado.

QBA coaches were very impressed with Daron. They thought he was only 9 but he is only 8. They all tells me that he is going to be a very good QB down the road. The coaches enjoyed having Daron there. Coaches tell me that Daron is the best QB in the youth group based on his skills and talents. There were quarterbacks from Nevada, Colorado, Utah, Texas, Illinois and California.

Daron would like to thank the QBA coaches for their time teaching! He enjoyed getting to know Will Helwett and few other instructors as well. His favorite QBA Instructor is Tom Rathmann. Tom Rathmann is former LSU Quarterback. Please check Tom s quote on this blog on the top right side of this page.

Daron also would like to thank the people who donate money for him to attend LV Camp! Many thanks for your help!

Daron s season is finished.... Lost in 1st Round of D3 JPW Playoff

Daron really had a great learning experience playing against older kids (age 9-10-11) as a starting quarterback for age 8. He was really glad to be playing in Central Massachusetts Pop Warner League this season because of more games, better competition and making him becoming a better player. All the teams he played against now knows Daron will be one of the key players near future. The opponents coaches said a lot of good things about Daron to his coaches.

His 2010 Season Stats: 17/42 302 Passing Yards Total. 13 dropped passes 2 Touchdown Passes ( 9 yards and 55 yards ) 6 Interceptions 10 Games Total. Overall Record 3-7 and made the D3 JPW playoff as seed # 8 tiebreaker. We won the tie breaker because of our strength schedule. We were the only 9 year old D3 JPW Team in the league to compete against 9-10-11 years old team this season! Something Daron, his players and coaches are proud of. We gave them a fight every single game except they got blow out by one team in Worcester.

Next season Daron will be moving up to Junior Pee Wee D2 team (age 9-10-11) and will be playing quarterback for D2 JPW team. His football season is not really over because he see his Quarterback Coach next week for his QB training to get ready for his season next year. In few weeks, he will be flying to Las Vegas for Off Season Elite QB Camp. He will be very busy working hard on his skills with his qb coach weekly, going to camps and working with his Sentinals wide receivers..

Daron told me he would like to thank his great coaches, Coach King, Coach Aaron, Coach Mike and Coach Nate for all their help teaching him this season.. Daron also would like to thank Manchester Sentinals President Dave Mencarini for his great support this season! We will see you again next season. No worries, we are staying with the Sentinals and we are not going back to the Enfield Ramblers next season! Go Sentinals!!!!

Please check his Highlight video below. (4 minutes long)

Daron won his first game of the season for Manchester Sentinals!

The Future....

Hello families and friends,

The season has arrived!!! 2 days ago, Daron played his first ever pop warner game for the Manchester Sentinals at Springfield Ma.. We played against tough Springfield team. Daron was nervous before the game because he had to call the plays by himself to his teammates in the huddle (he had his coach calling the plays in the huddle the last 2 years) and he is a starting quarterback as age 8 for 9 year old team! In the first half he and his center fumbled few snaps and threw 2 bad screen passes. The coaches told him to settle down and RELAX!!! Daron was frustrated and I went up to him in halftime to keep his head up and forget about the first half and have fun in the 2nd half and show them what you could do!!! Daron played awesome in the 2nd half. He kept his composure and made a lot of nice handoffs to his running backs and threw a nice rollout 20 yard pass to one of his wide receivers Logan but the play was called back because of the penalty. Daron also threw another nice 4 passes that hit the wide receivers hands but they all dropped the passes. He ended up 0-6 for passing. Daron s running back scored on 17 yards rushing in the fourth quarter and his defense made nice stop at the end of the game to win the game! Final Score 6-0 WHAT A GAME!!! Daron s coaches were so proud of Daron and told me after the game that he threw the ball beautiful like bullets in the 2nd half that should have been caught and ran for touchdowns!!! The coaches told Daron that his wide receivers need to work more on catching the ball from Daron so they will plan on working more on that tomorrow s practice.

I am so proud of Daron because he did very well being a leader on the field and getting his team together. Daron loves his new team and teammates as well.. He told me that he is very happy to be playing for the Manchester Sentinals because he loves his new coaches. SO far his overall record is 7-2 as a starting quarterback for the last 2 years! (Enfield Ramblers 6-2 and Manchester Sentinals 1-0)

Stay Focus and Go Hard!

Daron continues to impress his Sentinals coaches every day!

Daron and his younger brother, Jaxon who is 5. Jaxon plays for Tiny Mites Sentinals team for age 5 and 6!

Daron doing his QB drills to get ready for his first ever Sentinals practice at Enfield High School football field last week.

Daron is doing a great job so far. He was supposed to start his season playing with the Mighty Mites Team for age 7-8-9 as 8 year old Starting QB but the coaches moved him up to play with Junior Pee Wee team for age 9 only because the competition wasnt there for Daron to play with the Mighty Mites team. Now Daron is the Starting QB for his Junior Pee Wee team. The players were surprised to see Daron on the team but respects him now after seeing what he could do. The players are starting to follow him and talk with him to get to know him. A lot of his teammates tell him now that he s a great quarterback. The Junior Pee Wee coaches are making Daron teach his back up quarterback who is 9 year old with his skills. He is getting all the reps lately. I am so proud of Daron and his Quarterback Coach Travis was at his practice yesterday supporting Daron. My wife and I feel so fortunate that Daron has a Great Quarterback Coach who cares about Daron!!! Daron loves Travis. He told me he would like to put Travis s name on his eye blacks "Travis Meyer" for one of his games. By the way at the end of practice today, coaches made the players run around the field before they go home, Daron blew all the kids away and finished 1st and 2nd kid was like 15 yards away from Daron! He continues to amaze me every day! I am so exciting about this season as his coaches told Manchester Sentinals President that they are fortunate to have Daron as their Starting QB on the team this year!!!

"The Future" won the 2nd Best Quarterback Overall from Grade 2nd to Grade 8th!

Daron getting his 2nd place award!

"The Future" (age 8 and will be 3rd grade this fall) participated 2nd Five Star QB/WR Skills Competition at Central Connecticut State University for Grade 2nd to Grade 8th last weekend. The camp was on Good Morning America on ABC the next day! Daron brought his 2 wide receivers from his team, Manchester Sentinals to the camp with him. Few of Manchester coaches came to support their players! It was nice to see them supporting Daron and his wide receivers as well! Over 40 Quarterbacks were at the camp. Daron s wide receivers Marcellus Mencarini and Wesley Allison did a great job. They had great speed and hands! Daron is very excited to be playing with them soon! Wesley is going to be a "sleeper" in his pop warner league with his speed. Marcellus was the top 10 finalists for the wide receivers competition while Daron was the 2nd best QB at the competition! I am so proud of him. Daron can not wait to play and help his Manchester Sentinals this season! His team starts practice on August 2nd and will play scrimmage games against Newington and Hartford in August... Let me know if you want to see his games.. He will be starting QB doing a lot under center and shot gun plays. His Head Coach is designing a lot of plays for Daron to pass or rush.

By the way Steve Clarkson s team invited Daron to go to his QB Elite Camp this summer in California but we had to pass this time. They will invite Daron next Spring as they are keeping radar on him. His team has been in touch with me via facebook to see how Daron is doing. They are very impressed with him and his coach Travis.

Daron watched UFL Hartford Colonials Quarterbacks today.

Daron throwing to Colonials QB, Ryan Perrilloux after the practice.

Daron went to Sage Park in Berlin to watch UFL new team Hartford Colonials practice today during mini camp. He met few players and had some pictures taken.. He met Andre Woodson the Former Giants/Kentucky QB. He also met Ryan Perrilloux the former LSU QB. He played catches with Woodson and Perrilloux. Perrilloux and Woodson was very impressed with Daron s throws. Perrilloux told Daron that he was very impressed with him and going to have a bright future if he keeps up the good work. He was shocked that he was only 8 years old! Daron also saw Colonials Tight End, Ronnie Ghent again. He met Ronnie last year at the UFL game when he gave him his gloves. It was nice seeing Ronnie again.. Ronnie Ghent and Ryan Perrilloux are coming to one of Daron s game and watch him perform in September when they come back in August to start practice before UFL season starts. Daron is going to be thrilled to have them coming to see him play for Manchester Sentinals!

The Future was in the Enfield Press newspaper today!

Enfield Press Newspaper 6/9/10

Daron s mouth was wide open when I showed him the newspaper today after work. He was very happy and excited to see himself in the newspaper. It was a great article. I bought 20 copies for my friends, coaches and families. Please let me know if you would like to have one.

Daron Bryden is playing for Manchester Sentinals this season!

Daron Bryden wont be wearing the Ramblers uniform this year after leading his Ramblers team 6-2 record last year as his first year of starting quarterback. Manchester Sentinals, Tri Town Patriots and few other teams in New Haven areas were after Daron hard. We met with all the coaches including Ramblers coaches. At the end, we were very impressed with Manchester President, Dave Mencarini and Daron felt connected with Dave and his new Head Coach, Victor McKenzie right away. Daron decided to play for Sentinals instead of Tri Town Patriots. Daron can not wait to put the Sentinals uniform on and help his Mighty Mites team this season. The age for his Mighty Mites is 7,8, and 9. Dave Mencarini said he is thrilled to have Daron on the team and is a great addition for our league! "For just turning eight, it looks like he is a good four or five years ahead of the curve and he could definitely hold his own wirh 12 or 13 year olds" said Mencarini. Daron s Head Coach McKenzie said that his team would be dangerous with Daron as a Quarterback and looking forward to a big season for the Mighty Mites Sentinals! "Daron is a real hard worker, he strives to be the best... And what I like about him most is that he is a leader, he talks to his teammates and being that young with that attitude, Daron is going to be a great QB (The Future)", said McKenzie. McKenzie s brother, Kory Sheets plays running back for NFL Miami Dolphins.

Daron impressed Steve Clarkson's coaches during QB Dreammaker Tour at NYC!

Coaches loved what he showed them roll out pass!

Daron had a great time showing his quarterback skills to Steve Clarkson s coaches. Daron was one of 4 2nd graders to be invited in the tour in the country. One of Steve Clarkson s coaches named Angelo Gasca told me that Daron s skills were beautiful and impressed that he was only 8 and 2nd grade. Angelo said he was the best 8 year old QBs he saw this year and was very excited for his future. Angelo coached JP Losman of Buffalo Bills and Perry Kelin of Atlanta Falcons. One of other Clarkson s coaches, Tim Kaub was very impressed and said that Daron has all the tools and needs to keep working on it what he has been doing. He loved what Daron showed him. Chris Dubek, Clarkson s Director of Players Personnel said that Daron is the reason why we coach. Dubek said, "Daron is always looking up to you, waiting to get coached by you. He embraces everything and as a young man for his age, he brings to the table a skill set and coachability other athletes at his age level are not supposed to have. That what makes him special!" Clarkson s coaches are looking forward to seeing him again in the Youth National next year. Daron ended up being one of the top quarterbacks at Clarkson s Tour in NYC as a 2nd grader!
